Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.

Encrypted Credit Card Purchases

If you use a credit card to purchase a UL course through the Site, the credit card number is encrypted as it passes over the Internet. In this respect, buying a course from UL is similar to a credit card purchase at any store. UL does not keep your credit card number on file.

Constant Network Vigilance

ULs network administration team constantly monitors our security systems to make sure that your account is safe and secure. Although attempts by unauthorized users to break into systems are rare, we work hard to ensure that our site uses the latest technology to defend against unauthorized attacks.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a users personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that users personal data provided to us. Choice

UL provides its customers with the following choices about how their information can be used: i) Customers can always choose not to provide information, even though it might prevent the use of certain portions of the Site; ii) Customers are given the opportunity to opt-out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for the information; and iii) Customers who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the e-mail or sending an email to ulehssustainability@ul.com.
