OSHA Delays Anti-Retaliation Protections

OSHA’s final rule to Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses includes a provision that prohibits employers from discouraging workers who want to report an injury or illness. These anti-retaliation provisions were scheduled to go into effect on August 10, 2016, but OSHA has delayed their enforcement until November 1, 2016 to continue outreach and education efforts.
